'Misty Mountain View' is inspired by the views seen on mountain trails, hiking down through the valley and snaking inbetween.
A deep Australian olive green contrasts against the blush pink of the sky, blending brushstrokes with thick paint to create the illusion of mountain tops with highlights of raw sienna and a lush Australian Salmon Gum pink splattered on the mountain sides, finished with a misting of clouds, this abstracted landscape features line work taken from trail maps that 'walk' through the peaks.
Part of a new series of abstracted landscapes inspired by the mountains, using a limited palette and mark making to make this calming artwork.
